October 3 2021
Welcome back to Glamour Magick Beauty. We’re well into October so pumpkin is bound to make its way into our diets somehow. For my coffee lovers looking for a magical boost to start the day, here’s a pumpkin spice frappe recipe sure to put you in the festive spirit.
Unless coffee is pumpkin or egg nog flavored it’s just not my thing so I really do only have it in the Fall. I happen to enjoy nearly anything pumpkin flavored so I was all too happy to stop by my local coffee shop to try a pumpkin spice Frappuccino. Disappointed with the lack of coffee and amount of sugar in the beverage, I decided to make it myself.
That being said, the main ingredient is Intention.
Upon the realization I was going to make my own Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino I knew I needed a decent pumpkin flavored creamer. I happened to be scrolling through Instagram and I came across a Trader Joe’s fan page that featured the Non-Dairy Pumpkin Oat Beverage pictured above. That’s when I knew the Universe heard me so I pulled up to the store and picked some up!
Pictured here is the main ingredient line up. While at Trader Joe’s I also picked up a basic medium blend coffee. I had to buy coffee and a coffee maker since I practically never drink it but I want to start drinking it a bit more often. Some say coffee is bad for you but I believe everything in moderation and keeping sugar low is key.
Y’all know I don’t measure anything because my ancestors speak to me, here’s a full list of everything you’ll need to follow me step-by-step:
Cold brew coffee of your choice (I added 1 Pack of Sugar in the Raw, this is optional)
Non-Dairy Pumpkin Oat Beverage
Spices: Cinnamon and Nutmeg (make it as spicy as you like)
Silk Vanilla Unsweet Almond Milk (optional good source of protein but doesn’t add much flavor. If you add it let it be unsweet to keep sugar intake down)
The main thing that’s important when making this beverage is to keep the sugar low and keep it dairy free. I have made a commitment to eating and drinking with fertility in mind so I added Ashwangandha and Vitex to promote the balancing of my hormones and stress relief. Sugar and stress are some of the top adversaries of good health and fertility so it’s important to tightly manage both.
Bon Appetit! Let me know if y’all try this and how y’all like it. Has anyone else tried the Pumpkin Oat drink? Talk to me in the comments. It’s not the most pumpkin-y tasting thing but it gets the job done and I enjoyed my coffee. The energizing benefits of the caffeine hit immediately which I definitely needed.
