Glamour Magick Beauty’s Cleansers of the Moment

See the latest on Oil, Cream, Gel, Foam Cleansers

October 5 2021

Welcome back to Glamour Magick Beauty. In addition to Hoodoo Heritage Month, October also brings about Libra season. Libra is an air sign ruled by Venus. Venusian energy is all things love, beauty and luxury so let’s indulge and pamper ourselves. Here’s some cleansers I recommend for those looking to boost their glamour rituals.

The first runner up is a Payaya Foam Cleanser by Bonny Hill. Foam is gentle enough for all skin types. Especially nice if you’re sensitive, this is a good choice for those looking to brighten.

To its right I have Clean Energy by Origins. This is a self proclaimed, “Gentile Cleansing Oil” and I could agree with that statement. I think oil cleansers are equally as great as an option for all skin types (sensitive, dry, or oily). This oil is non-drying and gentle. Can be used day or night.

L’Oreal’s Revitalift is something I’ve recently added to my routine. At 3.5% glycolic acid I recommend this for ladies like myself who’ve been using acids for a while and/or have had a few chemical peels. I recommend this at night and for those who are oily and looking to brighten and improve skin texture.

The scrub is creamy and the beads are not abrasive so it’s gentle enough for anyone to use. The main ingredient is Salicylic acid so I would use it at night as well and no more than three times a week. A plus of both of these products is the cooling effect (if you’re into that kinda thing).

Have y’all tried any of these products? I enjoy the oil cleanser the most. As far as the scrub I’ve been using Neutrogena for years and I feel it’s a tried and true brand. I just purchased the Revitalift so I’m going to have to use it more before I can say whether I like it or not. I’ll ask my Mom how she likes the Papaya Foam as that product is courtesy of her.
