Welcome to Glamour Magick Beauty. If you follow pop culture, it seems like posthumous albums have gained popularity over the last few years. Beloved artists, Aaliyah and Pop Smoke are two that come to mind that are victims of this money grab and energy harvest.
This past week a new Aaliyah album was been announced. Titled, ‘Unstoppable’, the album will have features from Future, Drake, Chris Brown among a host of other abusive and misogynistic rappers. According to Wikipedia Aaliyah’s mother and brother run her estate but unfortunately her Uncle owns her music masters.
Additionally, rapper Pop Smoke is also said to be releasing new music in 2022 as well. This gives heavy Black Mirror vibes because supposedly all Pop Smoke’s music was used up for his last project, ‘Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon.’ Is the Brooklyn rapper hooked up to a machine that’s synthesizing music? Or will they be using a decoy who sounds like him? Either way, it’s only a matter of time before the labels pull out the holograms on a regular basis.
Personally, I won’t support any posthumous work from any artists and encourage y’all to join me in the boycott. Artists are being robbed of their lives, wealth and legacies. Neither Aaliyah nor Pop Smoke left behind a living heir, just music. True talents gone too soon. I’ve consistently told you all that the entertainment industry is nothing more than a soul collecting machine run on Thelema and spirit cooking. They are more outward with their intentions than ever so if you don’t see it at this point you’re choosing to be blind. People in the industry complain about it all the time, so there’s clearly something wrong.
Lets talk in the comments. In the meantime, tune into the Glamour Magick Beauty podcast. Love y’all…
